Donna Kingston
Donna Kingston is a mother of two amazing children and their spouses and a grandmother of the sweetest grandson, granddaughter, and three beautiful grandpuppies. She has been blessed to be called upon to be a nurse and has practiced in her field for over 30 years. For much of her career and life, she has had a strong passion for people, assisting, listening, witnessing, and caring for each person and their individual needs in that she can provide a more positive way of life in whatever capacity that may be, physically, emotionally, spiritually or at times just by acknowledging them as a valued person.
For the past several years, she has worked with the terminally ill, their loved ones, caregivers, and support systems, which is where the passion for this book derived from. She found that in her daily encounters with those in their last months, there were so many unanswered questions about where to turn for help and what to expect physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. This is where the desire to write a book where these concerns were addressed, a simple compilation of common questions and topics that could potentially help those seeking solace, understanding, and a potential guideline of how to plan so that those caring for them, making medical decisions when the person is unable to express their last wishes, those making surrogate financial decisions and finally, assuring that their last days and breaths are the most comfortable and as stress-free that they can be despite their disease process.
Her hopes and prayers are that these words enlighten and ease the heavy burden for those in their last months and assist in a somewhat less stressful and possibly beautiful passing.
